How does it work?
The natural waste stream contains both anaerobic and aerobic bacteria. Most systems are passive, have no oxygen in the system
and rely on the slow anaerobic bacteria to clean the wastewater. Because the system contains no oxygen, the aerobic bacteria die.
The Aero-Stream® system converts the passive system into an active system and creates the aerobic environment. The aerobic bacteria
proliferate and the anaerobic bacteria die. The aerobic bacteria are 20 - 30 times more effective at cleaning the wastewater.
Because the wastewater is significantly cleaner, the bio-mat in the field (made of anaerobic bacteria and its by-product) is starved
of a food source, dies and becomes permeable. In addition to the starvation, the aerobic bacteria and oxygen rich effluent flows
to the field and digests the bio-mat.

|
Is it true that I only run the equipment for 12-18 months?
Yes it is true. During the 12 to 18 months the biomat layer that is causing the septic system to fail will be remediated and your system will be restored to how it has worked in the past.
You can simply unplug the unit, and then turn it on for 9 months every 3 years to maintain the permeability of the biomat. Some of customers decide to leave the equipment run full time
after seeing the success; there is no harm in doing this.
|
Can I put the gray enclosure inside?
The enclosure has been designed and built to withstand all of the weather seasons, and does not need to be inside, we have passed rigorous tests and approved as a UL Listed Outdoor Appliance, none of our competitors can say that!
|
How much electricity does it use?
The Aero-Stream® equipment can be plug into a regular outlet (115 Volt). It uses between 65 and 75 watts of power depending on the model. A typical operating cost is $1.10 to $1.75 per week.
|
How does this work in colder climates?
We have units installed in severe climates, such as Alaska, Canada, and the Rocky Mountains; the performance of the equipment will not be hampered.
|
Do I need any special Tools to install the equipment?
All you will need are basic tool: a drill for getting the airline in and out of the tank, and a shovel to bury the airline a few inched beneath the surface of the ground.
|
Do I need to have the tank pumped out before installation?
It is important to have your tank pumped out before installing the Aero-Stream system. We recommend having your tank pumped within 2-3 weeks prior to installing the Aero-Stream® system in order to resolve your problems as quickly as possible.
|
I am told that I need a new field, why hasn't my pumper heard about this before?
While the concept of using aerobic bacteria for treatment of waste water has been around for more than 100 years, retrofitting an existing septic system with equipment that
restores a biologically failed septic system is a very new use of this technology. We hold the patents for this technology.
|
Can I speak with some one in my area who has used your product?
We have a strict customer privacy policy that we follow. We will not share our customer’s information with others. Please review our customers feedback on rate point,
a third party that we use that authenticates our customers feedback.
